IT Solutions | Server Virtualization
Server virtualization is accomplished by using software to convert a physical service into multiple servers by dividing or "partitioning" the server drive into multiple virtual servers.  Each partition operates like a separate server that can run different operating systems and software applications.

Benefits of server virtualization:
  • Security.  Different legal matters, confidential projects and security-sensitive data can reside on its own virtual server - reducing the risk of multiple client or project information being accessed by an unauthorized individual or company.
  • Consolidation. Cluster computing environments, often consisting of numerous servers, can be viewed and managed as a single image for operating system and software application upgrades.
  • Redundancy. Critical information and data files can be duplicated across the virtual servers to support data compliance and disaster recovery policies - without purchasing additional server hardware.
  • Business Continuity.  In the case of server hardware and software failures, server virtualization can be utilized to keep a system running 24/7, even if a failure is experienced.
